Since we're sharing DEXA data, here's mine for comparison (also on tirz, 11 months): | Metric | Baseline | 11 months | |--------|----------|-----------| | Weight | 295 lbs | 228 lbs | | Fat mass | 138 lbs | 77 lbs | | Lean mass | 149 lbs | 144 lbs | | BF% | 46.8% | 33.8% | 91% of my weight loss was fat. I do almost exactly the same protocol as OP — high protein, resistance training 4x/week, creatine. No excessive cardio. My relative strength actually INCREASED because I'm moving less body weight. Bench went from 195 to 205 while losing 67 lbs. That's a significant relative strength gain. Tirz doesn't kill your muscles. Lazy protocols do.

Worth citing some actual research here: The SURMOUNT-2 body composition sub-study showed that participants on tirzepatide 15mg lost: - ~33% lean mass / 67% fat mass WITH the clinical trial protocol (no specific exercise intervention) When you add structured resistance training + adequate protein, you can shift that ratio significantly. A 2024 study in *Obesity* (Weiss et al.) showed that GLP-1 RA patients who performed resistance training 3x/week lost only 10-15% lean mass. The takeaway: the drug creates the caloric deficit, but YOUR behavior determines the composition of weight loss. Lift heavy, eat protein, and you'll preserve muscle. 📊

exactly. The drug is a tool. How you use it determines outcomes. One last thing — for those worried about "losing strength" on tirz: your absolute numbers might drop slightly, but your RELATIVE strength (strength per pound of bodyweight) almost always improves. I can do 12 pull-ups now. Before tirz at 268 lbs? Maybe 3. That's what matters for quality of life. Nobody cares about your bench number. They care about whether you can carry groceries, play with your kids, and get off the toilet at 80. Stay strong out there 💪

Alright y'all convinced me. Signing up for a gym this week and starting GZCLP. Ordered a tub of whey isolate and creatine. If I'm going to do tirz I'm going to do it RIGHT. Thanks for the motivation 🙏
