Body image adjustment with mental health: I've lost 67 lbs but when I look in the mirror, I still see my old self sometimes.

This answered a question I did not know how to ask.

Clinical perspective, offered as context rather than as advice. It is worth asking what the claim would look like if it were false. If nothing would look different, it is not a claim about the world and no amount of discussion will settle it.

This matches mine closely enough to be worth saying so out loud. Posting only so the count is not one.

Coming at Dr.SurgeonPGH’s question from a different direction. The version of this that has an answer is narrower than the version being asked. Narrow it and it becomes tractable; leave it broad and the thread will produce nine confident and incompatible replies.

The figures, for anyone assembling their own picture. Say what you would expect to see if you were wrong, before you look. It is a small discipline and it changes what you notice.
