Triglycerides dropped by half, HDL barely moved, and my calculated LDL is almost exactly where it started, which is not the outcome I had been promised.

What I am after is whether an unchanged LDL-C alongside a large triglyceride fall is a good result or a bad one, because ApoB and LDL-C seem to be telling different stories.

Happy to be told the question itself is wrong.

Before/after bloodwork compilation for the lipid panel — everything in one place for those who want comprehensive data:

CategoryMarkerBeforeAfter 8moChange
MetabolicA1C7.0%5.4%⬇️ 1.2%
MetabolicFasting Glucose11585⬇️ 35
LipidsLDL158102⬇️ 40
LipidsTriglycerides260105⬇️ 90
InflammationhsCRP5.50.8⬇️ 5.0

Every single metabolic marker improved. This is why I'm a believer in this therapy.

Advanced lipoprotein testing on the lipid panel — going beyond standard lipid panel:

MarkerBaselineMonth 8Clinical Meaning
LDL-P1678978Particle count (more precise than LDL-C)
Small dense LDL68%34%Atherogenic pattern
Remnant cholesterol4217Triglyceride-rich lipoproteins
oxLDL8346Oxidative stress marker

The shift from small dense to large buoyant LDL is particularly important — it represents a fundamental change in the atherogenic profile.

Adding a me-too, because a thread of one person's experience is not much use. Nothing to add that would improve it.

Clinical perspective, offered as context rather than as advice.

Comprehensive lipid panel update relevant to the lipid panel:

MarkerBaseline6 Months12 MonthsReference
Total Cholesterol247202192<200
LDL152132112<100
HDL454659>40
Triglycerides267162102<150
LDL-P16671117917<1000

The triglyceride drop is the most impressive. My cardiologist reduced my statin dose based on these results.
