Tracking labs for the lipid panel — here's the panel I get every 3 months and why: CMP: glucose, electrolytes, kidney function, liver enzymes Lipid…

Comprehensive lipid panel update relevant to the lipid panel:

MarkerBaseline6 Months12 MonthsReference
Total Cholesterol264219189<200
LDL169129109<100
HDL425161>40
Triglycerides244159119<150
LDL-P15641214964<1000

The triglyceride drop is the most impressive. My cardiologist reduced my statin dose based on these results.

Fair, but phase 2 tolerability figures rarely survive contact with phase 3 scale.

Bookmarking. The distinction being drawn above is the one nobody else makes. Sending this to two other people who asked me the same thing last week.

I would rather people stopped quoting the 24% as if it were a licensed outcome. It is a phase 2 result in a few hundred participants with no cardiovascular endpoint and no long-term safety data, and this board has a habit of treating pipeline numbers as settled.

Correct me if the detail matters more than I have assumed.

Triglycerides dropped by half, HDL barely moved, and my calculated LDL is almost exactly where it started, which is not the outcome I had been…

Omega-3 index improvement on the lipid panel: often overlooked but my omega-3 index went from 3.6% to 7.6% over 9 months. I supplemented with 2g EPA+DHA daily.

This matters because omega-3s are anti-inflammatory and cardioprotective, complementing the GLP-1 benefits. Target omega-3 index is >8%. Combined with the triglyceride reduction from the medication, my lipid profile is the best it's been in decades.

Moderator note: leaving this open. It is being argued well and the disagreement is the useful part. Thread quality here is what the rules are for. Keep it up.
