Steady state is the thing most people miss.

That holds for the injectable. The oral formulation has different absorption behaviour and the dose numbers are not interchangeable, which is worth saying out loud because people quote them as if they were.

All true, with one condition: that curve is for people who reached the dose on schedule.

This answered a question I did not know how to ask. Printing the relevant bit and taking it with me.

I will push back on the "any working dose is fine" framing. The maintenance evidence sits overwhelmingly at the top studied dose, and the extension data shows regain tracking dose reduction rather than tracking stopping. Holding low is reasonable; pretending it is evidentially equivalent is not.

My reason for being on this is cardiovascular rather than cosmetic, which puts me in a small minority in most of these threads.

Senior perspective on cardiovascular risk: I'm 71 years old and started this journey skeptically. My endocrinologist recommended it after years of failed interventions.

15 months later: down 44 lbs, more mobile, pain reduced, medications simplified. My quality of life has improved dramatically. I wish this existed 20 years ago.

To other older adults hesitating: the SELECT trial proved benefit in our age group. You deserve to feel good in your body regardless of age.

Moderator note: reminder that nothing in this thread is medical advice, and that clinical claims need a source. No action needed from anybody.
