Ok this is making me hopeful. I have terrible plantar fasciitis and ankle pain. I'm 3 weeks into sema and haven't noticed joint improvement yet. Is it too early?

Way too early! I didn't notice joint improvement until about month 3, and it was gradual — not a sudden "oh my knees don't hurt" moment. More like one day I realized I hadn't thought about my knees in a week. Give it time. The anti-inflammatory benefits build as both weight comes off and systemic inflammation decreases.

Adding some data on the inflammation markers for those interested:

MarkerSTEP 1 BaselineSTEP 1 Week 68 (sema)Change
hsCRP (mg/L)3.81.6-58%
Fibrinogen (mg/dL)393345-12%
TNF-α (pg/mL)varies~30% reduction (subset data)

A 58% reduction in CRP is massive. For context, statin therapy typically reduces CRP by about 15-30%. Semaglutide is a genuinely powerful anti-inflammatory agent.

Starting to think semaglutide is the most important drug developed in the last 20 years and I'm only half joking. Weight loss, blood sugar, cardiovascular protection, anti-inflammatory, joint protection, possible neuroprotection... what CAN'T it do? 😂
